CE Phenolics
---
CE phenolic is a fabricated reinforced laminate produced from a medium weave cotton cloth impregnated with a phenolic resin binder. The medium weave canvas yields good mechanical properties. However, it is not recommended for electrical primary insulation applications. CE phenolic meets Mil-I-24768/14 FBG requirements. It is available in sheet stock, rod, angle and U channel forms.
LE Phenolics
---
LE phenolic is a fabricated reinforced laminate produced from a fine weave cotton cloth impregnated with a phenolic resin binder. The fine weave linen yields good mechanical properties, dimensional stability and a better finish for machined components than the CE material, particularly for intricate detailed components. However, it is not recommended for electrical primary insulation applications. LE phenolic meets Mil-I-24768/13 FBE requirements. It is available in sheet stock, rod, angle and U channel forms.
G Phenolics

Glass series of phenolics is a broad range of materials for specialized applications of electrical insulation. It is also known as Garolite ®. It is a glass woven fabric is impregnated with various resin binders to optimize unique characteristic of the material. It is available in sheet stock, rod, angle and U channel forms. It is available in a wide range of colors.
G5 / G9 - This material is fabricated from a glass woven cloth impregnated with a melamine resin binder. Melamine is the hardest of all laminates. It exhibits good dimensional stability, arc resistance and is resistant to caustics. G5 / G9 phenolics meet Mil-I-24768/1 GME requirements.
G7 - This material is fabricated from a glass woven cloth impregnated with a silicone resin binder. The silicone resin yields a laminate with excellent heat and arc resistance. It exhibits excellent dielectric properties under dry conditions and good dielectric properties under humid conditions. G7 phenolic meets Mil-I-24768/17 GSG requirements.
G10 / FR4 - This is the most versatile laminate available. The material is fabricated from a glass woven cloth impregnated with an epoxy resin binder. The epoxy resin yields a laminate with excellent mechanical properties. It exhibits good dielectric properties under dry and wet conditions. G10/FR4 phenolic meets Mil-I-24768/27 GEE-F requirements.
G11 / FR5 - This laminate is similar to G10/FR4 with a higher working temperature and improved mechanical strength at elevated temperatures. The material is fabricated from a glass woven cloth impregnated with an epoxy resin binder. The epoxy resin yields a laminate with excellent mechanical properties. It exhibits good dielectric properties under dry and wet conditions. G11/FR5 phenolic meets Mil-I-24768/28 GEB-F requirements.
GPO1 - This material is fabricated from a glass woven cloth impregnated with a polyester resin. This general purpose grade has good thermal electrical and mechanical properties. GPO-1 phenolic meets Mil-I-24768/4 GPO1 requirements.
GPO3 - This material is fabricated from a glass woven cloth impregnated with a polyester resin. Recognized by U.L. as having a 180 second arc-resistance and flammability class 94VO. Used in medium and high voltage switch-gear as barriers, supports, panels and high voltage TV components and insulators. GPO-3 phenolic meets Mil-I-24768/6 GPO3 requirements.
